VICON- The mark of quality
 |
Over the past 50
years Vicon has played a prominent role
in the development of mechanized
farming. Since the world wide success of
early innovations like the "fingerwheel"
rake and pendulum type fertilizer
spreader, the distinctive Vicon logo has
become the mark of quality for a wide
range of high performance equipment. |
 |
During the 1980's
Vicon merged with three other leading
farm equipment manufacturers – PZ
Zweegers in the Netherlands,
Deutz-Fahr
implements in Germany and
Rivierre Casalis in France. |

Innovation is a tradition shared by all four brands which substantially contributed to the dynamic progress of farm mechanization in the past century.
The invention of the rotary mowing system (drum and disc mowers) by PZ caused a revolution in grass harvesting. A similar revolution in haymaking was caused by the introduction of the rotary tedder by Fahr in Gottmadingen. Baler specialist Rivierre Casalis was among the first manufacturers to introduce the big bale concept.
In 1998 the Vicon name was adopted for all brands and the distinctive Vicon logo became the mark of quality for a wide range of innovative and high performance equipment.
Today Vicon is a brand of Kverneland Group, one of the largest manufacturers of farm machinery in the world employing approx. 2000 people. All Vicon products are developed and manufactured in the Group's dedicated production plants in The Netherlands and Denmark. The Vicon product range includes a wide range of fertilizer spreaders, disc and drum mowers/mower conditioners, rakes and tedders, fixed and variable chamber round balers, big square balers, bale wrappers and maize choppers.
A strong distribution network and a high level of dealer support and after sales service are important components of Vicon's worldwide success. Vicon equipment is sold in more than 60 countries via own sales companies or distributors. |
